Check out the wood carving/engraving that this sweet little laser can do. It can also be done with porcelain, glass, marble, etc. But the detail in the wood engravings is mind blowing.

Laser story
 

The VP of Engineering in some company several years ago was witnessing a test where they beamed a laser at a test specimen.

Well, the specimen unexpectedly exploded and a piece of the test sample reflected the beam in the direction of the VP for the smallest fraction of a second, neatly slicing his tie in half.

But, compared to other woodworking tools, I guess this is no more or less dangerous.

COol, i liked it, since 1988? now that makes it look trust-able..
