My fiance and I are starting to look for our first little house together. Turns out we would both rather get a fixer and gut the whole thing. Which leads me here to learn a thing or two while we look for a house so I can understand what's involved. It's been a fun and stressful experience so far.

Thanks. We are definitely comparing to what it would cost plus renovations to what else is currently selling. Almost everything is a short sale, so that isn't helping anything for our timeline.
