Hi, my name is David from North Carolina. I've begun to finish my basement and am planning on doing most of the work myself. My home is about a year and a half old. I have painted the walls with drylock and I am now doing some framing. I look forward to asking questions here as I go along and hopefully I can share my experience.

Welcome. I am also new to the forum, but it seems like the right place to come if you run into any problems. I live in northern Canada so some ideas I have as far as insulation goes, may seem a little extreme, but I have lived in Dade City Florida for a time so I'm sure we'll be able to come to a compromise. Good luck with your basement.
