I think i am going to start off re-caulking our bathtub due to the last person that re-caulked it messed up and i don't think they did a very good job of cleaning the old material off, So i want to do it the right way

Old caulking does not stick to new, use 100% silicone caulking with a mildicide in it, fill bathtub with water before caulking, caulk then wait 24 hours before draining.
