my spreader broke and i spread fertilizer by hand, and i found out that i had burnt quite a few areas of the lawn. should i just cut out dead spots and reseed.

Hello Rusty:
I would not cut anything out, just re-seed the areas and make sure you keep it sprinkled well. You may need to re-seed the whole lawn after 60 days just to make it fill out satisfactorily.
