Building an awning
 

I would like to construct an awning for the front door. I would like it to be roughly 6' x 6' along the bottom. What are some of the things to keep in mind, such as, how to anchor to the wall securely. I live in a mobile home with wooden siding.

You can purchase ready-made light weight metal awnings for this purpose. A wood awning may be too heavy and awry to hang on a mobile home.:)

What's the best way to anchor the awning frame? Lag bolts into the studs?

And by "wood awning" do you mean just the wood frame?
