DIY instructions for decking
 
Just wondering if anyone has DIY instructions for decking on an existing concrete slab or any vital suggestions prior to my commencement?? also any advice on working with different heights from the door way down to the pool, the slab is in two parts, on of which is on a greater slant than the other... ?? NOt sure i it make any diference but this is in tropical condidtions.

You might find it worthwhile to get a book on deck building from the library or purchased. There is also some good information on line. Google "deck building".

G'day Milt and Welcome to the Forum:
I wold put treated 2 X 4s down with PL400 and Tapcons or Ackerman Johnson screws. Then cover the deck with composition or plastic boards, placing the 2 Xs so the water can run down hill under the deck and install the deck boards across (or perpendicular to) the sleepers.
It is possible to build a step out of the deck boards and glue it in place.
Please let us know how it goes and mabe some pictures of the project.
