Are you saying you are going to adhere the drywall directly to the bock?
If so, it's not a good idea for your area.
You should have at least a 1 inch styrofoam board against the block to give it a thermal barrier. Otherwise you may end up with moisture issues. Just because to block is dry, it is not dry....moisture always migrates in a vapor , that is why a basement is cooler in the summer.

How are you going to run electrical and heat around the room?
What is the purpose of the room...we want to know everything.
