exterior door questions

I am in a manufactured house and the back door is not solid door. I want to get a better door but right now i can't.There is nothing i can do is there to make it stronger is there? I want to get longer screws for the hinges but they are gold so can i get longer screws in gold? What about those braces (don't know the name) that sticks out around the door knobs that help keep them from being pried? It has a dead bolt on both front and back doors and a slide lock on back door. What else can i do? thanks

security door knob protector plates, google it.
Brass security screws should be availible at big box stores or lumber yard.

Door Problems

I also had the same problem, I have just moved in my new house and I felt unsecured with my back door which I believe is not strong enough to protect me and family when certain situation comes. It's a storm door but of the lowest quality.

Unfortunately a large portion of the strength in a door comes from the frame the door is installed into. A manufactured home doesn't have a lot of rigidity and strength in the frame. I think it would be impossible to keep someone out honestly if they wanted to pry their way into your house. Everyone's suggestions seem on point though, reinforce the area around the strike plate with longer screws, reinforce the hinges with longer screws, perhaps install a security door as well?

This was random...who exactly was confused, you? CrystalC was simply adding to the conversation by expressing the same concerns with manufactured homes and their cheap exterior doors.
