Default Favourite thing to grow?

Let's share - what is everyone's favourite things to grow. I love potatoes, not because they look good (though they don't look bad at all), but because they taste so darned good. I even grew some purple potatoes this year and that was a whole new layer of fun.

My favorites are Kentucky Pease...they climb the trellis and my 5 year old can just pluck the pods off the plant everyday and eat at will. He just pops the pods open and he's having a nutritional snack that we grew together

Hi Ya All,

I'd like to grow something that didn't die. When I moved in to my house, my Momma gave me an africa vilote. It died! She swore it wouldn't. I did water it too everyday! I have fake flowers in my house now.

Here in Washington State the easiest thing to grow is blackberry bushes. Of course to me easiest is my favorite too. We have blackberry pies, and blackberry jam all winter long.

I couldn't possibly choose just one thing! My favorite thing to grow is plants!

I do love my brugs...duh! I also love growing a veggie garden, which I haven't done in several years. Maybe next year will be the year I actually get to do one again. I keep saying that.

Nothing likes to be watered every day, Stephie, unless it's in a pot out in the hot sun in the summertime.

Try another African Violet, and let it dry out before you water it. Don't get cold water on the leaves, because it leaves spots.

Hi LInda here (aka davlyn) I love to grow Day Lillies, Astilbees,Hydrangas, Thyme, Hens'n chicks.Climatis. I had a good herb garden going for a while and traded with a resturant next door to my work... He closed :<( . I had a small veggie garden going for several yrs. But neither do I have right now, do to a new barn that was built 2 yrs ago. I hope to find space for them again..

Default Good Subject--

Hello...like someone else said in here, there are just too many things to mention that I love to grow. I'm still fairly new at gardening, even though I've been creating landscapes since '97. I recently got back into vegetable gardening. That's always a challenge for me. Not sure why...probably because I'm so dang impatient waiting for my "fruits" to labor...

There is so many , to many to mention. But think the ones I did are favorites. I add more of those each yr. I guess they do the best for me as well. I didn't have the best garden, but a lot in a small space. There just isn't a good spot now. I had a new barn put up ( small garage size) so there is not a spot for veggies. I down sized alot over the last few years. To much to keep up with , having to work & having horses & other pets. took apart the planting space around my water pond. The weeds were getting to much to keep up with, they ran away with me. LOL...I re-did my garden walk way & the front door way. I needed to put new weed barrier down. Hope it's strong enough.
