fireplace suggestions please
 

I have attached a few pictures of my fireplace problem. As you can see, I have a gas insert type thing that actually works quite well but is ugly. I love having the fireplace but the inside is so shallow that I can't find anything that would fit and dont really want it protruding either. :o Any ideas? I am pretty open but :2cents: is an issue....

Easiest I can think would be a metal fireplace screen to stick in front of the insert so you can only see it if you are looking straight down. They can be quite decorative as well.

The license tag on the back wall could be worth a few dollars -

you should check with a company that sells gas logs

Are you asking about the wood ? the brick ? or the actual gas fireplace thingie ? Is that an old license plate in there ?
