Default Growing dilemna

I am wanting to start growing our own fruits and veggies but the problem is we live in military housing so we are not able to plant anything too big. So I was wondering what fruits and veggies would be ideal in our situation? Thanks

I used to be an army wife. I used to plant carrots and potatoes in planters. You didn't get tons, but we sure enjoyed what we got and it worked great.

Default Planters

I lived in an apartment in my younger years and the planters worked great! Of course my whole patio was full of planters. Oh well... I use to plant all kinds of stuff, lettuce (didn't work out to well) cukes, green pepers, blueberries and even garlic. It was great!

i had a small vegetable plot in grad school - not much space - grew carrots, lettuce, and had the corners marked by tomato plants, esp. cherry tomatos

I've grown all kinds of wonderful tomatos in buckets on my deck, also lettuce and green onions in planters or a wooden box.

Several vegetables will grow well in containers. Tomatoes, potatoes, peas (with something to climb...), peppers of all varieties. I'm not sure about fruits though.
