Leaky Shower
Mornin' Folks;
Just discovered water stains on the ceiling below our master shower. The tiles have been losing some grout and pushing out slightly (gypsum expansion) for some time and should've dealt with this before now. The shower is separate from the tub. I am going to start ripping out the shower and that section of the sub floor this weekend. I've got to get it dried out to assess the damage. Hopefully, I won't have to remove the tub. I've got a carpentry back ground, so shouldn't have too much trouble with the repairs. Any words of wisdom from experience would be appreciated, though. I'll see about posting some photos, too. Thank you in advance. Tony |

Before you rip it all out, make sure you know the cause of the leak. It could be on the pressurized fresh water side.
