refinishing bathtub
 

hello, the paint on my tub peeled away (pictures below):

Reading up and researching it, it looks like I need to refinish the bathtub. Do you guys think this something someone inexperienced such as myself can take of? Or if I hire someone, how much do you think that might cost me? One last question, for how long can the bathtub not be used?

Refinishing looks refinished at best and only lasts a few years, have a look at re-lining it. Arylic tub that covers the old tub.
