Default register installation
Hello all, can someone tell me, does the register get connected to the drywall or the ductwork itself? thanks

Give us a little more info, type of duct, type of register, wall or floor mount?

The sheetmetal flange on the register box is wide enough to allow the register to be fastened through the sheetmetal.
