I would like to add a small garden fountain to a corner of my backyard. Nothing too complicated, just a larger planter or pot with some rocks and a nice trickle of sorts.

THe corner is about 20 ft from my garage where I have several unused outlets. Is there anyway that I could put a fountain in my yard and run an extension cord underground to my garage?

I have never been a believer in this Extention cord set up but instead I would go with underground wire, PVC Conduit and GFI protected outlets.

Hi I was wondering your opinion of running wire rated for underground use without the pvc? I'm not home so don't have the code off the wire.
