I've seen some great project ideas on some of the other posts here! Before you start though, don’t forget to call 811 to make sure there aren’t any utility lines where you’re digging. It’s important to call before starting any project that requires digging, like installing a deck or fence. It will make sure you won’t accidentally hit an underground utility line - which could hurt you and take out service to your entire neighborhood. So for your and your neighbors’ sake, check out our site for some info: http://www.call811.com/
I thought everyone knew that already??
Very good idea, being a contractor, I don't even give it a thought..It's second nature to call before any job.
We just sometimes forget the obvious. Thanks.
Good shot BUD, thanks for the reminder. By the way, isn't it free to the land owner?
Glenn
Yes, it's free to the landowner!
and inspectord- judging from this press release (http://www.call811.com/for-the-media/once-per-minute.aspx) that shows a utility line is damaged about once a minute, i don't think everyone knows about it - at least not yet. we're working on it though keep spreading the word!
