I just came inside, 25 degrees in Nov...and thought I wood look up woodfiredboilers. This was the site I spent some time at. Good info, seemed up to date, not to much bashing.
Decided to wait on a boiler and just stick with the wood stoves.
Plenty of info for those there too.
Be safe with wood...educate yourself...

Right on, D; nothing works with wood more than safety. Make sure the stove or boiler has a UL label and the directions are followed to a tee.
Tennessee Valey Authority proved that a dried out paneled wall could catch fire at 200*;gives you something to think about.

Just a little reminder...
Even though you may not have used the fireplace or woodstove yetthis heating season, do not "As# u me" that it is ready to use since last year. Many a rodent or bird has been known to take up residence in your chimney when you we not lookin.

Just found a guy movin in myself...possibly to stay warmer.
