Default Beat up floors

Hi, my problem is that I have hardwood floors through out my coop which are in not to great shape. The building was built in the 1940s. I don't know if there is enough to refinish. Is it possible to place another wood floor or other type flooring over the top without removing the existing floor.

Yes you can but laminate flooring would be the choice here. You have to walk around your home and look at any area's that would need a transition joint remember you are going to have 3/8" - 1/2" on top of your excising floor. You have to also look at all your doors for the space between the bottom of the door and the flooring now and see if you have the room or do the doors have to be cut down.
I would without a dought call a floor sanding company and have them look at the floor to see if it can be sanded down.
