I want to remodel my attic. Currently I have support beams like the "extended tie" type picture on this forum. I want to go with the "open plain". Is this possible guys?

p.s I do not have the ridge joist the beams simply go straight together. I am simply making the note of telling you because the cross diagonal section drawings on this forum do not represent the absence or presence of a ridge joist.

I don't see a drawing.
