Default Natural color trim

Hello, I am replacing the entire house trim using pine and one door. I replaced the entire door but in oak. My question is we want to stain all trim and this door in the same color. Im having a hard time finding the two colors to match because the pine always colors darker than the oak. I undertand that you can tell the diference between the two woods but I want thier colors to be nearly the same. How can I ascomplish this utilizing what lowes has to offer?

Thanks,
Chad

You will have to put more coats on the oak or you may have to make up your own color by using more than one stain. I assume you have samples of both woods to sample with.
It would be to your advantage to go to a real paint store where they have more experience matching paints and stains.

Absolutely. Sherwin Williams is a good company and will have someone who can help you either in the store or right in your home.
