repair / repainting of outside woodwork
 

Hi there,

Just wondering if anybody can give me an indication of what it would cost to do certain repairs (cause I have no clue!). I just bought a 1920s bungalow type house in Scotland which needs some TLC here and there.

1) replace woodwork above the frontdoor, underneath the guttering (it looks bare and very dry, it may need just repainting, but maybe also replacing)
2) have the windows checked out whether they are put in OK (some of the cement around them is loose and may cause draft around windows)
3) have repointing done - some cracks show in the outside walls

I did not realize you were in a different country. Your electrical code may vary in many ways from ours. My bad.
It looks like you may need a home improvement contractor who will do all the work or hire sub-contractors to assist.
