oil burner tripping
 

Hi all, Having a prob with my burner. Seems to trip spuratticly. seems to happen alot at night when were sleeping.sometimes it turns on right away when i hit the reset. other times i have to toggle the main shut off switch
while it's trying to start,before it trips again. usually it fires up when i do this.
I do have enough sense not to dump fuel in. everything is clean, pretty new fuel pump,tank,filter. seems to run ok. hasnt tripped when taking a shower.
anyone have any suppestions before i start replacing parts ?

I would check the flame sensor. May just have a dirty eye or need replaced. Been a while since I bought one but don't think much cost was involved.

Thanks blue jay.it turned out to be the transformer. I first tried the eye then i tested the transformer..turned out to be that..thanks
