i,ve been doing just about the same with out moving.just took out my hot water baseboard along with the hot water boiler and added a new forced air system with air conditioning.i,ve noticed its much warmer in the house.faster to heat,and my gas bills are much lower.the rooms are more even in temperature.i now have a filter that wasnt with the hot water set up.makes me feel better knowing the dirt is being removed.p.s.
is that really true human skin is the dist in your house?

I live in a 108 year old house with forced heat. What I wouldn't give to have the radiators that were in the 130 year old house that I used to live in. Sigh.

Forced hot air has a lot of problems. Dust collects in the ducts and then gets blown all over the house. If you can find a filter that goes onto the registers (post-duct) and you use that in addition to the filter on the furnace, which you change regularly, it might be OK. But I do not understand why you would change from water to forced hot air. Most people want to change in the other direction. The hot water heating is much healthier to live in and more comfortable and quieter.
