Default Additional landscape lighting

We have outdoor landscape lighting currently installed but I would to add a few more lights. Is this a DIY project or do I need to have it professionally done? We just planted three new trees that I would like to illuminate.

This is a common DIY project and there's no reason for outside help if you follow proper wiring procedures. Is this lighting powered from 120v directly or from a 12v supply? If powered from 120v a lot more care and effort is necessary in running the outlying wiring. In either case, this job is not particularly difficult.
