ceiling fan light and remote

I put a ceiling fan/light with a remote in my inlaws living room. I can not get the light to work. Any tips? Is the light a blue wire? I can't find the manual. I had the light working without the remote but with itthe light does not work. thanks

A blue wire on a ceiling fan is normally the hot wire for the light.

Sorry it wasn't a victory moment for you to impress the in-laws ... Function failure is typically due to a loose wire when you shove everything into the canopy. Bummer. I try to test the connection before attaching everything ... to avoid having to take it back down later.

Here is a basic "how to" video that explains what you already know. Most relevant is when he attaches the remote controller and the blue wire.

GOOD LUCK
