I bought a Hunter ceiling fan & remote control. The remote instructions say not to be used on a fan that is not connected to a wall switch. My intention was to wire the fan so it is always on, and control it with the remote. Any reason this won't work?
The only thing I can think of is that the remote does not allow for ON/OFF. Otherwise, yea it should work. The only time I turn mine off, is for cleaning, directional change and/or going away on vacation.
