Distance between wire supports.
 

How far is it permissible for a wire to go between supports? Specifically, the trusses are two feet apart and I’d like to run a wire diagonally across them. Stapled at each truss of course.
Also, I’ve learned a good deal by reading this forum. Thanks to all who provide answers.

every 24" is fine.

I believe the code limit is four feet.
