We just moved into a house and sometimes the wood floors and granite bathroom floors seem warmer than we think they should be. And there are some wall switches that we can't figure out in those rooms. What do I look for to either confirm floor heaters or confirm no floor heaters?

if you can access the underside of the floor you could look.
I would also look at the breaker box and see if there is a circuit labeled for them. Or try a non contact AC power meter, one of those little sticks that lights up when it gets near AC. if you run that over the floor and it lights up. . . Then you can confirm by moving the switch.
