We recently replaced our trim and along with that my husband cut the wires or pulled it and I haven't had a home phone line for 3 months but I've been paying my phone bill. How can we fix this or is it better to just have someone cone do it?

Cut the wire behind the damaged area, strip the casing off an inch or so, strip the insulation off the phone wires about a half inch and reattach them to the phone block. Take the cover off the phone block to reveal the lugs that the wires attach to.
