Default Replacing stand-alone electrical boxes in old house

I have electrical boxes which are old - each socket only has two prongs, so I can't even hook up a modern computer without an adaptor. So I am looking to replace them.

I call these boxes stand-alone because they are not housed in the wall like electrical boxes are nowadays, they run along the molding along the floor, as does the electrical wire that runs to them.

Looking for suggestion as to what I should replace them with, and any other tips on how to proceed.

It's not like you have alot of options. Replace them with 3-prong duplex outlets.

go to lowes and get deep wire mold boxes and GFI plugs. You cant go from two blade plugs to two blade and a round ground, if there is no ground, must use GFI plugs
