running bx in a small space
 

recently i removed a wall in my house and to my dismay there was a bx line running in it and up to the second floor. i cannot put it into my cieling bc the joists are perpindicular to the way the wire runs and i dont want to notch it so i was going to build down a second cieling to conceal the wire. Is a 1 inch gap between 2 pieces of sheetrock ok for bx? or are there overheating issues?

You will be fine, there are no worries about heat, unless you put it next to a hot heat source. Good luck.....
