Wire under elevated screen porch
 

I want to run some electrical wire under our elevated screen porch to mount some flood lights for the back yard. Can I use a UF cable or does it need to be enclosed in conduit?

If it not in conduit, i would worry about animals Chewing on the wire.
I think i would use the conduit. Paul

I agree with Paul . . . I did a project like this and used plastic conduit off the ground attached under the floor joists. UF is great for buried applications in lieu of conduit.
