Does the test button on the GFCI work? If there is no ground then the GFCI tester will not be
able to trip the GFCI.The test button acts as if it is stuck. I've used a multimeter going from

I wouldn't leave them laying on the ground.I stapled them to the joists so there not on the

Pull the light switch, if there is just a cable w/ black ,white and ground the power is going
