Do you think moisture comes through the chimney like this? I notice when it rains a bit of

Yes it is the metal roof, so if forms and slides off, which maybe not bad idea to get excessive

That plug on the end of the LED strip is actually an 12v adapter, you can snip the wire and
stick the wires in the 4 holes you see there.
