  Ya you shouldn't need the numbers as it is not part of the hot h20 heater. Your plumber may
  have it in stock or may have to run to the supply house but either way relief valves are a
  simple fix.

  Never mind I don't believe it's a back flow preventer. It actually does look like some kind of
  relief valve but like I said I'm not familiar with that style.
