If you plan on sanding the floor and refinishing it, I wouldnt worry about the residue. It
should come of in the sanding process.

Sounds like you either have a concrete subfloor, or you have ceramic tile down. In either case
i would recommend taking up the tile, just to insure a good bond.

I am with Sam on this one. Unless you are installing the floor yourself, you should not have
any dust to inhale. Make sure you do all your cutting outside.

no i have access to my water supply line coming in to the house it is copper my question is do

you need to paint the floor with an oil base kilz . two to three times twice minimun
