  I think that I did take care of it with venting the attic better. The heat cable was a just in
  case thing. Did not want to come home to new wet drywall.

  I replaced with a new cable and it works. Must of had a defective cable.

  I bought some quantus track lighting. Opened the package and looked at the main base where the
  power comes in. The rating on it says 20A, 120v, 60HZ. Does this mean I can only wire this up
  to a 20 amp...
