    Why on earth would anyone want a gypsum based product anywhere near moisture? I'm not trying to
    be rude ... just make a point. Greenboard is no better than regular drywall .... it isn't
    water-resistan...

    Like HandyGuys said .... no mastic should ever be used in a shower.RedGard is a good waterproof
    membrane.:)
