Been here a long time Paul. Long enough to know that a tech will be called in to fix the

when it is not working, check for power to the blower. Does the blower make noise when

you might consider a new furnace. Furnace's with smart valves seem to be made on the cheap, I

yes, it will help if you slide both rods out that run along the glass also. SO close the
valves, loosen the nuts that hold the glass, and then remove the glass. Just be careful it is

for the sight glass, you can shut off the the valves, top and bottom, then loosen both
compression nuts holding the glass. Carefully twist and lower the glass into the lower valve

OR, you could get a paging system that will call YOU if the heat goes that low. and not have to
pay a yearly fee. Or you could get a wifi thermostat and check your home temp online or on your

yes, simply set to desired temp and push hold. It should not move off of that setting unless
someone moves it. If the furnace does not reach the set temp then that is a different problem

yes, if the inducer never stops running even when there is no call for heat, then you need a
control board.
