    Is there a special rebar with larger edges (ribbed) for extra holding strength when putting it
    in concrete bond beam blocks ?Or will regular rebar work just fine ?Thanks

    I currently have concrete block walls high enough that when the concrete floor pad is poured
    and that when the trusses were set on the block walls then I would have 8 foot high interior
    walls/ceiling....

    Im not sure of your specific application but I forgot to mention that you might want to
    consider installing some rigid foam board in between the furring strips.

    Im not sure about the edcon block but if they are like the old common concrete cinder block
    then you would need to install wood strips that are at least one and one-half inches thick so
    the vinyl sidi...
