  • Grading yard - I so need to grade my yard so water moves away from the house. I have block walls all around. So where should the water go?
Paint fence - Need to do this
Paint window frames - oh darn the new window frames i got installed are chipping. :(
Install new grass and upgrade poorly installed sprinklers.
Replace all interior doors - the doors i have suck. slanted, hollow, plain, stick, and make noises. Need to do this too
Change turbine vent - they don't work well. tried to lube them. just not gonna work if it won't spin with a light blow from my mouth. Debate of the year ... turbine or half moon vent? can't afford active vents.
    pave portion of back yard
concrete sidewalks on sides of house.
list goes on ... these are things i would like to do and are working. it'll take years :(

Yeah, you should clean the coils before you use the AC every summer :) coil cleaner and a hose
does the job well. Isn't this on the side of the house or away from where people would see it?

Asbestos was used widely for many construction products. Since your house is dated so many
years back, i would have the test done on the wood panel, the mastic and your sheet rock or
    plaster. Test var...

why not just leave it? I think french doors are nice. Put up a curtain with high placed rod
inside the room and you have your privacy! :) just place the rods so they are beyond the width
    of the door. ...

it'll be difficult to determine where the water is coming from. If water is going to your
floors and flowing in the basement would it be a grade issue? Do you have your home graded so
    water flows away...

They do sell indoor vent filters. I've seen them in lowes and home depot. If you don't mind the
venting indoors, this will trap the lint. You'l have to clean it regularly though. You mean the
    vent is ...

Bleach is mostly water. Mold on wood structures and parts of homes won't be easily killed by
bleach. It might look like it is gone, but it also "bleaches" the mold. It is important to
    remove the struc...

I've heard of cities that would let you have something that was built permitted after. They
would have to inspect it and you'll have to do the changes to bring it up to code. It could end

  • Posted in thread: Master Bath or Separate Bath? on 10-10-2010 at 09:13 PM
Did you say you were adding 3 bedrooms and a bath upstairs? What is up there now? I'm not sure
about resale value, but i think when shopping for a home, the master bed with a bath was more
    appealing. ...

Hi folks,I was wondering if anyone can help me solve my water problems for my enclosed patio.
