  My split unit heat pump run fine for a day or two then it stops cooling and goes into retard,I

  I've changed everything but the t-stat,fan still wont shut off..

  This furnace will not shut off in auto,it has to shut off manually..any ideas to what's causing

  Ran across an elderly couple with this goodman heat pump,they said they haven't used it in
  almost 2yrs,because it was costing them $800 per month to run it.any ideas to what's wrong..

  It's programed for heat pump,it will work fine for a few days ,then it starts again,to the
  point where I can't get any of the controls to work,the batteries must be removed to shut the
  unit off,

  My goodman a/c unit runs all the time,I set the t-stat to 75 but it drops to 50,the t-stat is
  new,
