Bricking a Porch and Walkway
|
So, I set out to brick the porch in May 2008 and replace the ailing walkway with brick, too. I thought I'd be done by July 4. How wrong I was.
I finished on Labor Day (after not starting until mid-June). I spent two days tearing out the sidewalk in 100-degree heat. I hauled hundreds of bricks, tons of gravel, hundreds of pounds of sand.
For months.
Just when I thought I might never finish it ... the last bricks went into place. I tapdanced. |
