    Dear Dixie,
    As the new owner of a 1950 Magic Chef, I wonder if you have any tips about lighting the oven. I have tried to do so with the temperature dial turned up and the oven dial turned on and a lighter...the flame on the lighter will flicker, but the oven won't ignite.
    The broiler and burners all ignite. any tips? Thanks.
