Yep. Also, I realized the same switch is in the bedroom. That doesn't get hot. Doesn't even get warm. I'm thinking the switch is bad, though i'll check the lights.

Apparently, there is a THIRD GFI in the garage....

still problem
I connected the black wire, then replaced the GFI with three wires with a regular outlet. Unfortunately, the other outlets upstairs still don't work.
