If the whole floor isn't redone it will be noticeable... A good contractor can do it without MUCH notice, but it will still be slightly different. So its all based on how much you want to spend.

How about trying to learn with some inexpensive onlines classes that provide certifications. Or buy a cheap fixer-upper and learn hands on... hah.

I concur with the others... windows, walls, then...
I concur with the others... windows, walls, then floor... that way you aren't installing/fixing anything that will screw the other new repairs up. Cheers!
