Floor to the top of the top plate is exactly 8'. So that sounds good, thanks for the backing tip, should make puting the joists up easier

attic ceiling framing

What's the easiest plan to frame the ceiling? As you can see from the picture at the end of the house I have "clipped corners" where it angles in, my thought was just to nail the new ceiling joists...

I considered spray foam but it's a vented roof, and the thought of a roof leak or repair in the future keeps me from doing that.
