I went down and looked at the Thermal Cut Out Fuse abd it seems to be burnt. I pulled the wiring clip right out with the wire on one lead. That clip seems to be a little melted....

I would guess the toilet leaking or duct pipes cooling down like suggested. Both can make the banging sound andf at night when everything is quiet its more noticeable.
