Thanks for the replies. I'm not at home right now, so I can't be sure on anything until I get back and can get up there. I'm pretty sure they're joists. Bearing wall or roof load, I'm not sure.

Making an attic access hole larger..
Hey guys, I have a dumb question for ya. If I were wanted to make an attic access hole larger (Right now it's probably only like 2x2 or so)... Would it be possible to do so? I'm guessing the opening...
